The experience-La experiencia
Since the beginning of the confinement in Madrid city, I started contributing with news agencies. From my experiences on the empty streets, I have worked on a personal project that witnesses the historical moment we are going through.
The first idea is that people who cannot experience these unusual images, and future generations, have a reference to what Madrid was like during the confinement.
The second idea is to let everyone express what they think and feel watching these photographs.
Regarding video work, I wanted to show with a static camera and the viewer’s point of view, the lack of movement of a city as dynamic as Madrid is usually. On the other hand, the sounds and silences capture the magnitude of what we are living.
Desde el principio del confinamiento en Madrid ciudad, empecé a colaborar con agencias de noticias. A partir de mis experiencias en las calles vacías, he trabajado en un proyecto personal que atestigüe el momento histórico por el que estamos pasando.
La primera idea es que la gente que no puede experimentar estas inusuales imágenes, y las generaciones futuras, tengan referencia de cómo fue Madrid durante el confinamiento.
La segunda idea es dejar a cada cual que exprese lo que piense y sienta, con lo que estas fotografías le provoque.
En cuanto al trabajo en vídeo, quise mostrar con cámara estática y el punto de vista del observador, la falta de movimiento de una ciudad tan dinámica como es habitualmente Madrid.
Por otro lado, los sonidos y silencios plasman la magnitud de lo que estamos viviendo.
